I was driving through West LA and stopped for a red light when a U.S. Post Office Mail Carriere lost her mail due to a very strong gust of wind. The light turned green and the traffic just kept moving. I said to myself - "this is crazy, she can't pick up all that mail safely or at all in this traffic".
I pulled over and parked in a Red Zone. I then walked out with her and stopped traffic for a moment and helped her collect all her mail while drivers waited. This made my day. I took a chance with the Red Zone and that's just who I am.
Sometimes, I wonder what I would do in a moments notice and this is just one more reminder that resilience spills over into everything we touch, say and do.
