Martin Luther King Jr. has left his mark on the world. The Federal holiday in United States that celebrates Mr. King is just as important as Christmas or any other holiday - if not more. So much more.
The hyperlink takes you back to the famous speech. America has come a long ways and still has a ways to go. I would be thrilled to see a nation completely closed for the day (yes, I know there are a few exceptions) so more people can focus on how America can act in a more responsible way with regards to people acting in harmony. All these old habits and attitudes have to leave 100% if were going to make real progress today.
I wish every day was Martin Luther King Jr day and I'm grateful that America has grown up to some degree. I'm looking forward to more progress with race relations and the problems we face in this day and age. I'd like to see a country that embraces a zero tolerance for violence, racism, prejudice and so many other hate crimes that are unresolved.
Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day - A day worth celebrating forever....
