Everyone has a dark side. I suppose some people have a more deeper shade than others. Black is Black sums up a dark side I rarely see. Perhaps it's the intensity and fire that burns in this song. Everyone has different sides and this classic hit song is all live with the original hit singer in '75 singing his smash hit from '66.

I have interviewed many people and few can forget the power and intensity of this record. It pushes buttons and lets the world know where you really stand.

Still, this song is played in heavy rotation and Mike Kennedy continues to sing his heart out even if the song is a heartbreaker. Timeless....

Mike Kennedy has the pipes. A voice that sounds so good and like no other. In general, Mike was the lead singer for Los Bravos.

Here's another Wikipedia version of Mike Kennedy who needs his solo material re-released on CD and DVD in all languages. I have seen one greatest hits package but that does not even touch the surface. Mike belongs on Amazon.com and iTunes as well. Add MySpace Music, MSN Music, Napster and so fourth. Great music does not belong hidden away in some vault forever.

Mike's famous voice: Mike received lots of attention with Mike and The Runaways and sang German as well. I'm looking for these on YouTube. Stellar and hard to find due to copyright issues. His english and spanish releases are more widely distributed and easy to find - but not always.

I was dating a young lady who was dreaming of becoming a psychologist the first time I heard this song. This is such an innocent love song. I look back with great memories and delight in the joy we created for ourselves while remaining independant. We met in a park on a sunny afternoon. I learned so much from her and we both look back and laugh at the fun times we shared. We reached our goals and now I can reflect and look forward to a brighter future. She's in session....
